1、 Chemical composition
Carbon (C): According to the ГОСТ 380 standard, the carbon content range for ordinary quality carbon steel is usually 0.06% -0.49% (depending on the steel grade).
Manganese (Mn): ≤ 0.80% (conventional control, some steel grades may contain higher manganese to enhance strength).
Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.35% (used as a deoxidizer to adjust material toughness).
Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.040% (strictly control harmful elements and reduce cold brittleness).
Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.050% (limiting the tendency for hot cracking).
2、 Mechanical performance
Strength and plasticity
Tensile strength (Rm): ≥ 370-630 MPa (specific values vary depending on the steel grade, such as 370 MPa for low strength steel grade and up to 630 MPa for high strength steel grade).
Yield strength (Re): ≥ 235-355 MPa (adjusted according to steel grade and application requirements).
Elongation rate (δ 5): ≥ 22% -17% (slightly decreases with increasing strength grade).
Resilience requirements
Room temperature impact toughness: ≥ 49-59 J (to be determined based on specific steel grade and usage).
3、 Manufacturing and testing requirements
Forming process
Spiral welding: Double sided submerged arc welding (SAWH) is used to form and weld the strip steel coil after leveling, trimming, and planing.
Weld seam control: forming accuracy and stability through weld seam gap devices and electric contact pressure gauges.
Testing requirements
Non destructive testing: Ultrasonic testing (UT) and X-ray re inspection of the entire pipeline section, with defective areas requiring repair and re inspection.
Hydrostatic test: according to the formula
P=2ST/D for hydrostatic pressure testing and pressure bearing performance.
4、 Application scenarios
Low pressure fluid transportation: suitable for medium and low pressure pipeline systems such as tap water and agricultural irrigation.
General structural components: used for non high voltage scenarios such as building supports and mechanical parts.
