The chemical composition of A36 spiral steel pipe is based on ASTM A36/A36M standard, as follows:
Carbon (C): ≤ 0.25%~0.29% (slightly different source ranges);
Silicon (Si): 0.15%~0.40%;
Manganese (Mn): 0.80%~1.20% (optimized strength and processability);
Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.04% (impurity control);
Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.05% (strictly limited to reduce brittleness);
Copper (Cu): ≥ 0.20% (copper containing steel must meet, not mandatory).
2、 Mechanical performance
Intensity index:
Yield strength (σ s): ≥ 250 MPa (small value, some data can reach up to 360 MPa, increasing thickness may reduce strength);
Tensile strength (σ b): 400~550 MPa (typical range);
