API 2B marine structural steel pipes are made of high-strength, high toughness, and corrosion-resistant materials. According to the API 2B standard, these steel pipes can be made of various types of steel, mainly including carbon steel and low-alloy steel. Carbon steel such as ASTM A36, ASTM A53, etc. have good strength and welding performance, and are suitable for general structural applications. Low alloy steels such as ASTM A572 and ASTM A588 have higher strength and corrosion resistance, making them more suitable for use in harsh marine environments.
