1、 Chemical composition
The GB/T 700 standard spiral steel pipe is made of carbon structural steel (such as Q235 series), and its core chemical composition range is as follows:
Carbon (C): 0.12%~0.20% (balance strength and plasticity);
Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.35% (deoxidation effect);
Manganese (Mn): 0.30%~0.65% (strengthening matrix);
Phosphorus (P), sulfur (S): ≤ 0.045% (impurity control);
Other elements: Trace residues such as chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni).
2、 Mechanical performance
Basic performance (taking Q235 as an example):
Yield strength (σ s): ≥ 235 MPa；
Tensile strength (σ b): 370~500 MPa;
Post fracture elongation (δ 5): ≥ 26% (when thickness ≤ 16mm).
Impact toughness (room temperature test):
Longitudinal impact energy: ≥ 27 J (V-shaped notch);
Lateral impact energy: ≥ 20 J (partial standard requirement).
Other performance:
Weldability: Low carbon equivalent (≤ 0.30%), supporting processes such as arc welding and submerged arc welding;
Surface quality: It needs to be free of defects such as cracks and folds, and meet the appearance standards.

GB/T 700 spiral steel pipe is mainly used for low-pressure fluid transportation and general structural scenarios:

Execution standard: The material complies with GB/T 700-2006 (carbon structural steel), and the manufacturing process refers to GB/T 3091-2015 (low-pressure fluid conveying pipes) or SY/T 5037-2012 (ordinary fluid pipes);
Production process: strip steel rolling, submerged arc welding, non-destructive testing (ultrasonic testing), hydrostatic testing, etc;
Specification range: Outer diameter 219-3620mm, wall thickness 5-25mm, length can be customized.
