Material and performance requirements

According to GOST 20295 standard, commonly used materials for spiral steel pipes include K34, K52, K55, K56, K60, etc., which correspond to different yield strength and tensile strength grades. For example, the yield strength of K55 material is 375-550MPa, which is suitable for medium and high pressure oil and gas transportation. The standard also emphasizes low-temperature impact toughness testing, requiring steel pipes to maintain their performance in cold environments to meet the geographical requirements of Russia and the CIS countries.

 

Production and Testing Practice

The production of GOST 20295 spiral steel pipes requires the use of double-sided submerged arc welding technology and non-destructive testing methods such as X-ray inspection and ultrasonic inspection for weld quality. The finished product needs to undergo hydrostatic pressure testing (high pressure 5.05MPa, holding pressure for more than 5 seconds) and mechanical performance testing.

 

Technical requirements of GOST 20295-85 standard

GOST 20295-85 is a standard developed by Russia for steel long welded pipes (including straight and spiral welded pipes), suitable for high-pressure transportation scenarios such as oil and natural gas. This standard specifies that the diameter range of steel pipes is 219 millimeters to 1420 millimeters, and the wall thickness is 5 millimeters to 50 millimeters, covering materials such as K52, K55, K60, etc. The standard requires that steel pipes be manufactured using resistance welding technology and undergo quality control tests such as hydrostatic pressure test, flattening test, and tensile test to evaluate their mechanical properties and pressure resistance. Production and certification of spiral steel pipes

Spiral steel pipes that comply with GOST 20295 standards must be certified by Russian GOST-R and meet technical specifications.
