IPN8710 anti-corrosion steel pipe is a pipeline product that uses IPN8710 anti-corrosion coating for anti-corrosion treatment of steel pipes. IPN8710 anti-corrosion coating is a commonly used anti-corrosion coating for water supply pipelines, which has chemical inertness, acid, alkali, salt corrosion resistance, dense coating structure, good waterproof permeability, strong adhesion, and toughness. It can be divided into two types: IPN8710-1 anti-corrosion coating and IPN8710-3 anti-corrosion coating. This product belongs to the category of "chemical reactive" coatings and is packaged in two components. Component A consists of resin and initiator, while component B consists of active monomer and catalyst.

Primer: composed of polyurethane polyethylene, modified epoxy resin, non-toxic anti rust pigments and fillers, additives, etc., cured at room temperature to form an interpenetrating network, with a dense coating structure, acid, alkali, and salt resistance, excellent anti rust performance, and strong adhesion.

Topcoat: composed of epoxy, rubber resin modification, non-toxic anti rust pigments, fillers, additives, etc., it has the characteristics of non toxicity and resistance to microbial decomposition.

Standardization and Construction Precautions

Steel surface treatment: After rust removal, the steel surface of ipn8710 drinking water anti-corrosion steel pipe should be coated with primer within 16 hours, and in humid and coastal areas, it should be coated with primer within 8 hours. Otherwise, if secondary rust occurs, it must be treated with a wire brush.

Damage area treatment: Use electric grinding wheels and wire brushes to treat the welding areas, defects, and pyrotechnic damage areas of objects that have been pre coated with workshop primer during transportation, assembly, and heat treatment.

White rust treatment of zinc foundation make-up paint: white rust (zinc salt) that has been corroded by the atmosphere and coated with zinc foundation make-up paint shall be treated with manual or electric wire brush and clean water.

Super coating interval treatment: For high hardness, two-component cured coatings that exceed the coating interval, the coating film must be roughened with sandpaper or steel wool.

Construction precautions

Base surface cleaning: The base surface should be cleaned thoroughly, free of floating dust and oil stains. Raised particles, edges, and loose parts should be removed, and the appearance should be smooth. Use putty to repair and level dents and unevenness.

Base maintenance and moisture content: New concrete may contain moisture or dialyzable substances, which can affect the quality of the coating. It needs to be cured for more than 28 days, and the cement mortar base surface needs to be cured for more than 14 days. Due to different drying conditions, the rate of decrease in alkalinity of mortar and concrete is not exactly the same. It should be judged according to different regions, seasons, and other conditions. If conditions permit, test data should be used as the standard, with a moisture content of less than 10% and a pH value of less than 10. The moisture content and dryness of the cement substrate surface can also be visually measured based on the appearance of a white surface.

Performance characteristics

Strong anti-corrosion performance: For spiral steel pipes used in water supply and drainage through acidic soil or saline alkali areas, IPN8710 anti-corrosion coating can be used to obtain a corrosion-resistant layer with sufficient strength. The network formed by this coating has the characteristics of strong adhesion, good flexibility, and resistance to corrosive media such as acid, alkali, and salt.

Easy construction operation: For general anti-corrosion coatings, strict surface treatment is required for the base of the anti-corrosion steel pipe, and the process is complex. However, IPN8710 coating has low requirements for pipeline surface treatment and can be sprayed or brushed without floating rust, without affecting the anti-corrosion quality. However, it is necessary to improve the surface treatment level of the anti-corrosion steel pipe as much as possible to achieve the best anti-corrosion effect.

Other properties: This paint is a graft type interpenetrating network polymer that triggers polymerization at room temperature. The two networks can complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, producing a synergistic effect. The coating is non-toxic, high solid, and low viscosity. It is a new type of anti-corrosion coating with strong adhesion, high strength, abrasion resistance, hydrolysis resistance, corrosion resistance, water resistance, and excellent weather resistance. It also has low requirements for rust removal on steel structure surfaces and can be used at temperatures ranging from -20 to 120 ℃.
