This standard replaces the 2007 version, adds technical requirements for polypropylene adhesive tape, revises the thickness requirements for reinforced and extra reinforced anti-corrosion coatings, and adjusts performance indicators such as impact resistance and cathodic stripping of polyethylene adhesive tape. The core content includes the design of the anti-corrosion layer structure, material performance requirements, construction technology, quality inspection, and methods for repairing joints and damages.
Structure and grade of anti-corrosion coating
The anti-corrosion layer is divided into ordinary grade, reinforced grade, and special reinforced grade, with a total thickness of ≥ 0.7mm and ≥ 1.4mm and ≥ 1.9mm. Structurally, the anti-corrosion layer of polyethylene adhesive tape is usually composed of primer, inner tape, and outer tape, while polypropylene adhesive tape uses primer thickened adhesive tape. Outdoor pipelines require the use of weather resistant protective tape, and the thickness and structure should be selected based on the pipe diameter, environmental corrosiveness, and construction conditions during design.
Material performance requirements
Polyolefin adhesive tape must meet indicators such as back material tensile strength ≥ 18MPa, elongation at break ≥ 150%, and volume resistivity ≥ 1 × 10 ¹³ Ω· m. The primer must be compatible with the adhesive layer, with a solid content of ≥ 15% and a surface drying time of ≤ 5 minutes. Materials must provide testing reports and safety data before leaving the factory, and should be stored away from light and moisture. Polyethylene adhesive tape is divided into thin adhesive type (adhesive layer accounts for 30% -60%) and thick adhesive type (adhesive layer ≥ 70%), while polypropylene adhesive tape only supports thick adhesive type.
Construction technology and quality inspection
Construction includes steps such as sandblasting treatment of steel pipe surface (Sa2.5 level), primer application (interval ≤ 8 hours), adhesive tape wrapping (overlap width ≥ 50% -55%), etc. Quality inspection includes visual inspection (no bubbles or wrinkles), thickness measurement (allowable deviation ± 5%), peel strength testing (≥ 18N/cm), and electrical discharge leak detection (no leakage points). Special materials should be used for joint patching, with a lap length of ≥ 100mm and a peel strength not lower than the original anti-corrosion layer.
